Edmund Burke's The Only Way Evil Can Triumph

Let us talk about the famous quotation of Edmund Burke, my favorite political philosopher.

“The only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.”

In this world, there are events that affect human lives and the quality of their life. In all parts of the globe, we hear news, may it be exaggerated or not, about men being killed, families that are forced to separate and extreme famine and hunger. Although we are aware that there are other parts of the world that enjoy a happy and secured life, we tend to rationalize the misfortunes of other people. The question is: have we done our part to ease their burdens?

Our goals to attain a balanced life is only a dream of other people. Yes. We have clothes on our back, we have shelter and we eat three times a day or more, but we have brothers and sisters who scarcely eat in a single day. No wonder I'm always amazed with people who find time to help the poor and the needy. But, what about the governments of those people who suffer social problems?

Surely, the only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing. Let the changes start from within. With the help of charitable organizations, all things will properly come into place.

This lines of Edmund Burk is familiar. I think I've heard about it in the movie, Tears of the Sun. We've watched the said movie at Mount Sea Resorts in Cavite during our recent visit in the famed resort.

In our vacation, I've learned that Cavite resorts are totally amazing. We're planning to be back before Christmas to celebrate my birthday there.

Thank you for sharing!
