Abortion Doctor Killed in Kansas

The latest news talks about an abortion doctor in Kansas who was killed while attending church activities. This is an alarming situation because of the long time debates about the legitimacy and practicability of abortion. People have different views about abortion and how it affects society. On the positive side, abortion is a proper alternative in order to limit the number of family members in exchange of a better life. The widow and the children of the Kansas abortion doctor even supported their late father with his goal to help women in terms of reproductive health. When he died, the members of his family who were grieving felt regrets when the said goal will no longer be possible.

On the negative side, some people do not adhere to abortion as a means to achieve a better life. The reasons might be religious, political, and social in nature, but the essence is centered on the belief that no one has the right to stop the life of an unborn baby. The unborn fetus is so innocent and should not be allowed to suffer the consequences of its parent's actions. Hence, it is a matter of choosing between propagating life and not depending on the given situation.

With respect to the death of the abortion doctor, the feelings of the people towards the situation is also different. Others feel sad on the death of the abortion doctor but hate him because of his acts in helping women who opted for abortion. On the other hand, some feel very sad because they lost someone who could help them in solving reproductive health concerns and as well as family planning options. Personally, I am sad of what happened to Dr. George Tiller because he was killed while attending church activities and while worshipping God. It is not fair for him then. But, it is not also fair for the numerous unborn fetus that he killed while he is an abortion doctor. Either way, it depends upon the mandate of the law. When abortion is made legal supporting the acts of Dr. George Tiller, there is no problem. But what about the value of morality? In essence, we cannot judge the situation without being fair to both sides of the coin. Thus, the situation is both sad and confusing. It is just that we pray for the soul of the killed abortion doctor still.
